The Challenge
The client needed to move merchants off a third-party processor whose fees and outages were eroding margin and trust. The new gateway had to be PCI-DSS compliant, survive traffic spikes, and settle correctly to the cent — from day one.
Our Solution
We engineered an event-sourced transaction core in Go with idempotent APIs, double-entry ledger accounting, and automatic reconciliation. Kubernetes-based active-active deployment across availability zones, chaos-tested failover, and real-time fraud scoring completed the platform.
The Results
The gateway has processed more than $500M in transactions with 99.99% measured uptime and sub-150ms authorization latency. Merchant processing costs dropped by a third, and the reconciliation process that took a finance team days now closes automatically.
